Obama's Foreign Policy on Trial
(CNN) -- For the presidential campaign's main event Monay night, the billing should be changed to read Obama vs. Obama. Because at its heart, the climactic face-off between the candidates may end up being a confrontation between two versions of the president, good Obama and bad Obama, the foreign policy master versus the man who leads from behind when he leads at all.Obama will no doubt try to reinforce foreign-policy campaign themes that his supporters feel are among his strongest credentials. But Mitt Romney will almost certainly try to lay out the narrative that Obama has weakened...

Strikeforce cancels Nov. 3 event, much to main eventer Daniel Cormier?s surprise
Strikeforce announced by press release today that their planned Nov. 3 event is canceled, and they won't be doing a fight until January of 2013. Injuries to main eventers Frank Mir and Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold forced this decision.
From the press release:
"Due to a series of injuries, we were forced to cancel the upcoming card on Nov. 3, but are already working to put together a stacked card in January," STRIKEFORCE CEO Scott Coker said.
"While we're disappointed with the cancellation, we are looking forward to an even bigger STRIKEFORCE event on SHOWTIME early next year," said Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President & General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports.
This is the second straight cancellation of a Strikeforce event. They canceled a Sept. 29 event because lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez was injured. The promotion is planning to move forward with a January card that will be announced shortly.
The cancellation took Daniel Cormier by surprise. As the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix champ, he was supposed to fight Mir on the Nov. 3 card. After Mir was injured, Strikeforce tried unsuccessfully to find a replacement to fight Cormier.
"I wish somebody would have told me something," he told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. "This is unbelievable. I'm very upset. I just want to be informed. That's all. I don't think that's asking for too much."
Now Cormier and the rest of the Strikeforce fighters need to wait to see if they'll be on the January card.

Microsoft launches four-year, $80 Office 365 University subscription for students
Microsoft's given Xbox love to PC-buying students recently, and it's just announced that it'll carry on that tradition with Office 365 University, by offering a special four-year, $80 subscription to higher-education students. For that sum, you'll get four years of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access if you're seeking a sheepskin scroll, which Redmond says works out to $1.67 per month. Also included are 60 Skype world minutes per month and 27GB of Premium SkyDrive storage, along with free upgrades and the ability to install on two separate computers, to boot. That should take some of the sting out of those scholarly expenses if you need a copy, so check the source to see how to grab it.

Blip Launches ?League Of Super Critics? With Nostalgia Critic And More
Over the summer, Blip announced that it was entering the realm of original content with a new studio helmed by executive Steve Woolf. Now, Blip is increasing its efforts to bring viewers a daily stream of pop-culture related content with a new channel, the League of Super Critics, on YouTube. The channel will feature updates from five of Blip's most popular personalities, with each one taking over his or her own day. Mondays belong to The Nostalgia Chick, Lindsay Ellis, who has brought a more feminine appeal to old-school pop culture since she was hired by her male Critic counterpart. On Tuesdays, gothic girl The Maven releases Vampire Reviews, where she looks at various works of bloodsucking fiction. Doug Walker will bring his huge fanbase to the channel on Wednesday with a new episode of The Nostalgia Critic, which will undoubtedly run for 20 minutes and feature several references to Chuck Norris and M. Bison. Todd in the Shadows takes center stage on Thursday; he was one of the first creators to sign with Blip and his crappy pop song breakdowns have gained a nice little following. Also, shadows. The week ends with The Show You're Watching, a wrap-up of the week's online video news. I know we'll be sure to check it out to see what kind of stuff is making the rounds these days
