CHICAGO (AP) ? A freight train derailed before dawn Sunday on elevated tracks on Chicago's Southwest side amid reports power was knocked out to more than 2,500 people in the surrounding area, police and local reports said Sunday. Hector Alfaro with Chicago police News Affairs told The Associated Press the derailment occurred early Sunday and there were no immediate reports of any injuries. The Chicago Sun-Times reported the derailment occurred in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood where elevated tracks border on a residential area and that utility workers were at work on repairs, seeking to restore power.
